I've been hankering for a venue like this to play music. Something a little different for the Hong Kong music scene. Java Java is another great place for live music! It's a cosy coffee shop on 188 Hollywood Road that doubles up as a bar in the evenings. There's cake, sandwiches and pies so you won't get hungry when you watch the show! The staff we're really friendly so you feel right at home. Cole Watson, Tilly and I had a great time entertaining everyone there on Saturday night! Check it out next Saturday, Stuart Lennon is playing.
New Tonic Press had a great time playing at Hidden Agenda on Wednesday night. What a great venue to have in HK! It was grungy to the MAX! I had to go into one of those massive warehouse lifts with a manual gate . It was really slow. On my own - not a soul in sight - I was praying that the lift wouldn't break down. Anyway got there alright and played an hour long set. The sound system was powerful. It's built for metal bands so the amps really growl. I had to take off some of the overdrive effects as it was SO heavy but nice!! I highly recommend you go here to listen to bands or go there to play if you're in a band, it's a great venue with loads of atmosphere.
